"Podcasting" is a term that combines the words " broadcasting " and "iPod." and is a term used to describe a collection of innovative technologies for automatically distributing audio content over the Internet through a “publish and subscribe” model. Neither podcasting nor listening to podcasts requires a portable player, and no actual broadcasting is required, although you can listen to a variety of programs through our VOY Music Podcasting platform.
Podcasts are free audio programs that can be delivered to your portable mp3 device or to your computer. These programs are produced by both international broadcasters and individuals alike, and are a new means of disseminating both popular and highly independent “radio shows” through the Internet.
