| Jorge Mejia was born in Colombia. At thirteen, he moved to Miami, where he began playing the piano every waking moment. A classical pianist throughout his early musical career, Mejia studied at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston and eventually graduated from the University of Miami with a piano performance degree. |
