De nuevos a viejos
The duo’s second work produced by the same record company. Without too many expectations while resting on the laurels of their previous CD, these guys got to work in 2001 to release their second work. With the same tenacity and dedication devoted to their prior work, Wisin y Yandel returned to the forefront of the genre, so much so, that this CD went on to obtain a Gold record again for number of units sold, becoming their best-selling CD in the genre, a feat absolutely worth mentioning. |
Mi vida
In 2001, Wisin & Yandel participated on the album La Mission II, which was a success earning the second gold record for exceeding sixty five thousand copies sold. That year, their second solo album was released, De nuevos a viejos, a best seller that year, earning them the third gold record. After winning the prize Tu Musica, they were called the most important duo of rap/reggae in history. At the end of 2002, they released their third album, the most important one of their career and long awaited by the audience, De Otra Manera, which became their fifth gold record. Recently, Wisin & Yandel released a record called Mi vida, which had the greatest hits of their entire musical career. |
Pa´l Mundo
This record called Pa´l Mundo, had nineteen songs, all of them written by Wisin & Yandel and produced by well known producers such as Luny Tunes, Nesty y Nelly. This record also had the collaboration of Daddy Yankee, Hector El Father, Aventura, Tony Daize and a new talent: Franco el Gorilla. Llamé pa' verte, the chosen single, is possibly a favorite song of their fans, and of urban music in general. |
Los Reyes del nuevo milenio
In 1998 these two young talents from Cayey started a career in reggaeton, recording on the album No Fear 3 de Dj. Dicky under the label Fres Production. A year later, the same company hired them, and they released La Mission Vol 1, earning their first gold record for exceeding fifty thousand copies sold. The public´s response was so great that by 2000 Fresh Production produced their first solo record, called Los Reyes del nuevo milenio. |
