“MTV Unplugged”
The Puerto Rican-born artist recorded “MTV Unplugged” live during his performance at the MTV Studio in Miami on August 17, 2006. The opening track is “Gracias por pensar en mí,” dedicated to all the children who live in areas of conflict around the world, and featuring Ricky Martin accompanied by a wind and choral section and a powerful percussion section. He included completely different versions of some of his classics; “La bomba” and “Lola, Lola” abundantly confirm this. There are other hits like “María,” “Perdido sin ti,” “Vuelve,” and “Fuego de noche, nieve de día,” to name a few, and some previously unreleased songs like “La plena,” "Con tu nombre,” and “Tu recuerdo,” which features the collaboration of La Mari, singer with the electronic flamenco group Chambao. |
