In the mid seventies, some young people gathered in order to form a group that represented their musical interests. They named the band in honor of a town in the state of Sinaloa, located 80 kilometres north of Mazatlán, La Arrolladora Banda El Limón. La arrolladora´s career includes 36 years of artistry, with more than 23 records and innumerable number one hits in Mexico and the United States. The origins of the band are related to the artistic imput of René Camacho, the director of the group and a great pioneer of the music from Sinaloa. 2002 is a very important year for the group. They changed record companies to the United States and recorded their first material in that country for the company Disa LLC, with the name Grandes boleros arrolladores, a tribute to the international Sonora Santanera. In this album, fifteen well-known songs are included, interpreted in their own style. Among them, the following stand out: Con un beso, Fruto robado, De mil maneras, Perfume de gardenia and Estoy pensando en ti, along with the commercial hit Te extraño mucho. They received good reviews from both the public and the critics. A year later, La Arrolladora releases the single En los puritos huesos, the first cut off the album Se me acabó el amor. The disc contains 14 songs with the work of great singer-songwriters such as Fato and Juan Gabriel, on famous songs such as Perdona mi franqueza, Te llegará mi olvido, Juro que no volveré and Qué suerte la mía from well-known José Alfredo Jiménez. Recently, they have celebrated the 40th anniversary of the band, along with the release of a live disc (recorded in Culiacán, Sinaloa, in the Great Foro Tecate, before more than 15 thousand fans). During the same period they recorded their latest album, "Huele a peligro, containing thirteen songs that include cumbias, rancheras and baladas. The first song in Mexico is Entrégame tu amor (by Wilfrán Castillo), and in the United Status they launch La Suata. Other songs stand out, such as Te quiero a ti (Marco Antonio Solís), Evítame la pena (Sergio Caballero and Martín Muñiz) and Huele a peligro (Armando Manzanero).
