Julio Irving Ramos Filomeno was born in Puerto Rico in 1978. In 2002, after a show in Orlando, Florida, he met one of the most important figures of reggaeton, Tego Calderón. They became good friends and recorded a CD together. Julio Voltio became one of the artists who took reggaetón to places that, until recently, were unexpected. His first album was called Voltage AC and was produced by Tego Calderon himself. In addition, Tego and Julio sang together on Julio Maraña and Se van, Se van. The CD was released in 2005 by Elías de Leóns company, White Lion,; and it was distributed by Sony Music multinational. According to Julio Voltio, the intention of each song was to have a message and a reflection; although, in some cases, there is space for dancing and relaxing. Voltage AC contains 22 songs that go from reggaetón to salsa and merengue; all of which written by Julio Voltio.
