Audire, featuring vocalist and guitarist Guillermo Cudmani, bassist Fernando Cardero and drummer Joaquín Bachrach was formed in Buenos Aires in 1998. Strongly influenced by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimmy Hendrix, Soda Stereo, Sumo and Divididos, they presented themselves as an alternative rock and pop band using typical Argentine instruments like the charango (small five string guitar) and the bombo legüero (drum). Their first album Stimulation, released in 2000, received some favorable reviews. Despertar, their second album recorded in 2003 was produced by César Silva and included Facundo Guevara and Mario Guso (percussion), Víctor Skorupsky (transverse flute), Mariano Otero (double bass) and César Silva (guitars) as musical guests. The independently-released album was only sold at the bands concerts.
