Aventura, with Wisín and Yandel |
The popular Dominican band Aventura admitted in a recent interview that they would like to invite a reggaeton symbol like Wisín and Yandel for their next show in the Dominican Sports Palace. |

|
The leader of the band, Anthony Romeo Santos, said he would especially like to share the stage with Wisín and Yandel, who got famous in that market because of their song "Rakata."
If they accept, the show will be held in November, when the reggaeton duo visits the Dominican Republic again.
This would not be the first time Aventura sings with a reggaeton star: Don Omar performed with them before, singing “Tú y yo,” and weeks ago, Aventura performed in Honduras with Wisín & Yandel, in a concert in Francisco Morazán stadium in San Pedro Sula, in the closing of the “Honduras, país del optimismo 2006” campagn.
Before more than 10 thousand people, mostly young, Aventura filled the stadium with a very colorful, strong concert that ended by midnight.
The night was full of music in Aventura’s bachata rhythm and reggaeton by Wisín & Yandel.
With this show, the campaign that started on August 10, 2005 came to and end. Since then, a million positive responses were received, leading to the creation of ten leisure centers, study centers and fun fairs in as many cities in Honduras.
The campaign sponsored by an important soda brand. Aventura, one of the most popular bands in the Dominican Republic, is outstanding for playing “Spanglish” bachatas mixed with other Caribbean rhythms, hip-hop, rap and rock.
The band is composed by young New Yorkers with Dominican origins: Anthony (singer, leader and writer,) and his cousin Henry Santos (singer and writer,) as well as the Max brothers (bass player and rapper) and Lenny Santos (musical producer and guitar player.)
The band became famous after the success of the song “Obsesión,” included on the album “We broke the rules,” which, according to the record company, sold over two million copies in Europe alone.
