Jerry Rivera Frustrated by Ballads |
The Puerto Rican singer Jerry Rivera admitted in a recent interview that he's felt frustrated for some years since he's a salsa figure who can't take on other genres like ballad. |

 "I've felt very frustrated in my career for eight years. I went through some difficulties with what I've done in my career, in spite of all the millions of albums I've sold," the musician revealed.
"That wasn't what I wanted, I never thought about selling 100,000 copies, not even 50,000. And 500,000 were sold, a million. I didn't ask for it," the star recalled.
Rivera established himself in salsa. However, he always insisted in trying his luck in other genres and even switched record companies. Today he's promoting his ballad album with complete honesty.
In the same interview, he explained that he's not afraid that people will tell him he messed up in changing genres, though he did say "I'm not lying to you, this isn't a farce. A marketable product, what people expect, that's not what I am."
