Thousands of people attend the Caifanes tribute concert. |
Last Saturday, thousands of people enjoyed the tribute to Caifanes, one of the most important bands in Mexican rock, by Saúl Hernández, the vocalist from Jaguares and a former member of the group. |

|
A venue in the Mexican city of Guadalajara hosted the event and, at exactly 9:45 p.m., the song “Será por eso?” started, provoking screams from the 7 thousand fans present, who didn’t put their hands down all show.
“Thanks for being here,” said Saúl, who explained that he had a voice problem, though the audience didn’t seem to mind.
On “Los Dioses Ocultos,” Hernández’s voice had help from the thousands of fans singing along and bursting with energy.
As the set list went on, the audience got more and more into it, especially on songs like “Dime Jaguar” and “Miedo.”
Perhaps the most emotional moment of the concert was when the band leader introduced the musicians one at a time. The one who got the most applause was Diego Herrera, an original member of Caifanes.
“I feel very fortunate that you’re here with us tonight; thank you, if it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t exist,” Saúl said at the end of the night.
