Miami, FL, April 23, 2008.- The musical revolution that is Chambao arrives in Miami Beach. The Spanish flamenco-pop group, which is writing a new page in Latin music history, will be performing next Saturday, May 3 at The Fillmore in the Jackie Gleason Theater.
La Mari, with her unique singing style and unmistakable voice, will be unveiling for the first time to an audience in the United States the songs of her new album “Con otro aire”; demonstrating the best moment of the group’s career with this album. It was produced in Spain, based on a flamenco-chill style that fuses Arab, Latin American and African sounds.
“Papeles mojados” is a mere sample of the fusion that is achieved in this production, which includes twelve songs, nine that were written by La Mari, who underlines to her personal contribution to the project.
Since the year 2002, when the Chambao phenomenon broke thought Europe, these musicians have continued to grow until they became an irrefutable standard for new Latin pop. La Mari became known in other countries for the song “Tu recuerdo”, where she joined the Puerto Rican star Ricky Martin.
