Miami, FL, May 2nd, 2008. - Born in Puerto Rico and having grown up between Puerto Rico and New Jersey, Charlie Cruz encompasses the flavor of both worlds. Along his career, he managed to unite the energy of his generation with the wisdom of those who taught him, such as Domingo Quiñones. The young salsa star reaches a definitive point in the evolution of his career with “Dinámico”, his new album.
Charlie Cruz debuted in 1999 under the guidance of the well-known producer Sergio George, who was an integral part in the discographies of Marc Anthony, Tito Nieves, La India and Celia Cruz, among others stars. In 2000, “Amarte Sin Problemas” takes over the Billboard list for three consecutive weeks. After that, only success followed: “Un chin-chin” from the album “Un chico malo”; “Cúrame” from “Ven a mí” and “Grita comigo” from “Como nunca”, among many others.
And now there is a new song which anticipates the success that “Dinámico” will be. We are of course talking about “Tú Me Confundes”, the new single being played on the radio and already moving up on the hit list. The album also includes “Sigo tratando\\\" in both a salsa and a ballad version, \\\"Como la primera vez\\\", and others.
“Dinámico” was produced by Cuto Soto and is another Latin release of Sony BMG, on sale May 6th.
